Showing how you can use a (appropriately scaled) 3D Model inside your UI in Unity. With the Canvas Element 3D you can adjust the scale of a 3D Model in a Screenspace Canvas using the normal Rect Transform tools as well as have the 3D Model be rescaled dynamically in Playmode (When the Rect Transform dimensions change).
The Scroll Rect Controller allows you to focus on and highlight certain things inside a Scroll Rect. There are lots of things you can do with that (and the normal functionality of a Scroll Rect), one example being a Map.
This show how to create a Spritesheet from a PNG sequence in Unity with an Editor from the Essential UI Kit. You can of course also create that spritesheet with gimp, photoshop or another program but having it directly in Unity should speed up your Workflow a lot, especially when trying out (and finetuning) new Effects. The spritesheet can then be used for a really nice custom effect with a Menu or Panel, especially together with the Mask Component. Check out Part 1 for creating a (simple) Transition in After Effects and exporting it as PNG Sequence
A great way to add some Special Effects to your User Interface is with an animated Mask. Part 1 will show how to create a simple Transition in After Effects and export it as a PNG Sequence. Part 2 will show how to to put it together in Unity
See how you can add easing to an existing animation with the Essential UI Kit. Simply drag & drop the animation into the field and select a Keyframe range to be affected. Select an easing function you like and watch the resulting curve. You can also reduce the amount of keyframes generated with the reduction tolerance field. It will try to preserve the shape of the curve while reducing as many keyframes as possible. Simply play around with the values till you are satisfied with the result.
With the Essential UI Kit you can easily create Color Schemes in Unity and use them throughout your projects. Simply select Assets/Create/Color Scheme give a name to your Color Scheme and add a few colors. Later you can pick a color for your scripts from any Color Scheme in your asset folder via a dropdown.
